June, Saturday, 1st 1861 Awoke this morn quite unwell with the bowel complaint.  Remained at the quarters all day taking medicine. This morn. they fired the 32 pounder and 24 lb. Captured some southerners. Some took the oath of allegiance. One would not and they took charge of him.
