Sunday, 7th Heard Mr. Ferree preach.

6 July 1861

Saturday, 6th Arrived at Cairo. Found one of the boys sick, Name - B. Rodgers.  He died and we buried him at night

5 July 1861

Friday, 5th Went to Lebanon. Took the cars for Cairo. Stopped at Centralia all night.

4 July 1861

Thursday, 4th Went to Belleville in company with H. R. Heard an oration by W. Snider. Returned to Masct. and to C. R.

3 July 1861
