Friday, 20th Pleasant. E.I.R.B. Levit. 16th & 27 or the remainder of the book. I engaged in writing some letters this morning. In the evening I had company drill. After dark to night I was ordered out with 50 men to go to the camp of Buell's battery to quell a mutiny. They had been drinking and then defiled the power of their officers, but got quiet and I did not have to use my violent means, though we loaded our guns.
