17 November 1861

November, Sunday, 17th 1861 Pleasant. E.I.R.B. II Cron. 36 1st Thesol. 4-5 and also the whole book of II Thesalonians. This morning I felt as though I would like to attend church but had no opportunity to do so. Have not heard but three sermons since the 1st of Sept. This afternoon in co. with Lieut. Williford we visited the Hospitals, found Corpl. Hedly at the general hospital very low with Typhoid fever. At 4 P.M. we had dress parade and then paraded through the city. Some time in the eve the 40 & 41 regts. came in having been to Lutesville, taken 3000 bushels of wheat, several hogs and several prisoners.
