19 November 1861

Tuesday, 19th Pleasant. E.I.R.B. Ezra 1st Tim. 1-2-3. This morning I procured a coffin and at 3 P.M. we buried him, one of Capt. Teiderman's men, and a cavalryman at the same time. It was the largest procession ever formed here. Corpl. Hedly was an excellent young man. Capts. Williams & Valentine were here to day from Columbus under a flag of truce to procure the family of Gen. Johnson. They were permitted to take them to Columbus.
